From 29 May to 1 June 2025, the international team of the RECALL Project gathered in Brno, Czech Republic, for the Second International Study Meeting, hosted at Masaryk University’s Faculty of Arts. Over the course of four days, professors, student groups, and project coordinators from Hungary, Poland, and Czechia continued their dynamic collaboration, refining outputs and setting ambitious but realistic milestones for the coming months.
Our Brno meeting marked a key transitional phase: the video production process has now entered its post-production stage, while the development of educational and e-learning content moved into full swing.
1. Professors’ Section – Reviewing and Finalizing Video Content
A central part of the professional program in Brno was dedicated to the academic and technical review of the video modules. During multiple parallel sessions, the teaching staff:
- examined all 15 video segments (5 per country),
- assessed the quality and consistency of the visual material,
- validated the editing script structure, including titles, watermarks, and animation templates,
- and reviewed the accompanying PDF-based tests to ensure linguistic clarity and didactic alignment.
Consensus was reached regarding the video style and final edits, and a clear review and correction schedule was established. HU Team will share the edit script proposals and circulate DIY feedback options by 15 June.
2. Students’ Section – Launching the E-Learning Development Phase
In parallel, the student teams focused on the e-learning dimension of the RECALL project. Building on the narrative structure of the videos and catalogue, students began to design interactive learning tasks.
Key accomplishments included:
- drafting sample e-learning assignments for each video module,
- agreeing on the structure and format of the tasks (quizzes, visual-based questions, open reflection),
- preparing a unified proposal for final testing and piloting.
Students also reviewed and cross-checked the structure of the regular PDF tests, working toward an accessible and pedagogically sound final version. The crosscheck phase continues until 20 June, after which final uploads of visual elements and timing data will be completed by 30 June.
3. Informal Exchange and Cultural Exploration
Beyond structured workshops, the Brno meeting also encouraged informal exchange and team building. On Saturday afternoon, participants took part in a relaxing excursion to the Brno Underground Water Tanks, enjoying the natural beauty of the South Moravian landscape while strengthening personal and professional ties.
These moments of shared leisure are essential to the RECALL project’s ethos, reflecting our belief that genuine collaboration grows from both academic engagement and interpersonal connections.
Next Steps and Project Milestones
As we move into the final stages of the project, the following timeline has been established:
- 15 June – Coordinators review raw video edits and edit scripts.

We thank our hosts at Masaryk University for their hospitality, and we extend our appreciation to all participants for their energy, professionalism, and camaraderie.
