Címke: 6. The emancipation of minorities
-
The “Dosli sme” monument in Tótkomlós commemorates the arrival of Slovak settlers to the region in 1746, following the post-Ottoman repopulation of southern Hungary. The bronze relief, based on a drawing by Mihály Varga, features a symbolic wagon descending toward the Száraz-ér, accompanied by a teacher, livestock, and rays of sunlight—capturing the settlers’ journey and faith.
