Online Dissemination Webinars (January 2026)

As the ReCall Project approached its final phase, a series of national dissemination webinars were successfully organized across partner institutions, reaching a wide audience of students, researchers, and potential users of the project’s digital outputs.

The webinars were held at:

  • Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE), Budapest – December 2025
  • University of Wrocław – late January 2026
  • Masaryk University, Brno – late January 2026

These events marked a key milestone in the project’s dissemination strategy, ensuring that the results of the ReCall initiative reached both academic communities and future users of its innovative learning tools.

The webinars were specifically designed for:

  • University students and early-career researchers
  • Potential participants of the ReCall online course
  • Future users of the interactive map and catalogue

Participants were introduced to the project’s core outputs, including:

  • The online micro-course on Central European history
  • The interactive map and catalogue of Places of Memory
  • The broader educational and research framework of ReCall

These outputs aim to strengthen Central European identity and enhance historical knowledge through digital and collaborative tools.

At each location, the webinars featured presentations by project coordinators and leading academic contributors, who provided in-depth insights into:

  • The development process behind the project’s digital and educational tools
  • The impact and success of transnational collaboration
  • The long-term sustainability of project results
  • Strategies for the future use and integration of ReCall outputs in higher education

Particular emphasis was placed on how the project’s results can be embedded into university curricula, supporting innovative forms of digital pedagogy and blended learning.

A central focus of the dissemination events was the long-term impact of the ReCall Project. Speakers highlighted how the project:

  • Builds a sustainable academic network across Hungary, the Czech Republic, and Poland
  • Provides transferable digital learning models adaptable to other European contexts
  • Encourages continued collaboration among students, researchers, and institutions

The webinars also demonstrated how the ReCall platform—combining maps, catalogue, and course materials—can serve as a lasting educational resource beyond the project’s official duration .

These final dissemination webinars played a crucial role in consolidating the ReCall community by:

  • Engaging new users and stakeholders
  • Showcasing tangible project achievements
  • Creating opportunities for future academic and educational cooperation

They also reaffirmed the project’s commitment to open access, inclusivity, and cross-border knowledge exchange.

As the ReCall Project concludes its formal activities, its impact continues through the active use of its digital tools and the growing network of engaged students and educators.

The success of these dissemination webinars demonstrates that ReCall is not only a completed project—but a living platform for exploring and teaching Central European history.
